learning strategy #5 - Word Wall
A Word Wall can be used to learn and review vocabulary words.
There are a number of different in class games that can involve a word wall.
- Split the classroom into two groups. Have one student from each group their own fly swatter, read the definition to one of the Word Wall words aloud, the first student to hit the word with the fly swatter earns a point for their team. Repeat with additional students from the groups until all students have had an opportunity.
- Have students write a sentence, paragraph, or story using as many Word Wall words as they possibly can.

- Be a mind reader
- Wheel of Fortune
